Transport logistics for laboratories, medicines, medical records and more.
University Hospital Augsburg, Germany
The Augsburg Hospital has a long history dating back to 1859. Today it is the largest hospital in the region and is the only maximum care hospital in the Bavarian-Swabian region, treating around 1.8 million people.
The current complex was built in the early 1980s. A Telelift system for hospital logistics was planned and implemented during construction. The system originally consisted of 64 stations and 251 trolleys, which handled the transport logistics for the laboratories, the transport of medicines, the transportation of medical records and other transport tasks.
In 2006, after 24 years of successful and reliable operation, the control system was modernized. The modernization of the control system was planned by the building authority and Telelift and carried out by an experienced service team of Telelift GmbH from 2008 to 2010.
