Transporting, sorting and returning books in the world’s tallest library building
National Library of Indonesia in Jakarta
At 24 storeys, the National Library in Jakarta is the tallest library building in the world. Telelift has installed an integrated library solution with book return, sorting and transportation.
The system consists of return and sorting elements from our cooperation partner bibliotheca, as well as our rail system with UniSortCars and UniCar B10 vehicles. A ‘return drive-in’ is also connected to the system. With the comprehensive solution developed by both companies, borrowing books from the National Library is now possible from the comfort of home for the first time. Previously, borrowing was limited to within the library itself.
