The German National Library, with locations in Leipzig and Frankfurt am Main, is the central archive library and national bibliographic center of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The German National Library in Leipzig is an archive library. All media are made available for use in the reading rooms. Users have access to a reading room environment with optimal working and study conditions.
In 2010, an automated book transport system was assembled in the German National Library in Leipzig to optimize the delivery processes. The system was expanded in 2019. It has been in continuous operation ever since, is in very good condition and is intended for long-term use.
