Robotics Software Engineer
for AGV/AMR Development and Project Implementation
We are seeking a skilled Robotics Software Engineer to join our team in developing a next-generation Fleet Management System (FMS) for our AGV/AMR robot fleet. This role will involve working on legacy systems while advancing towards new web-based frameworks, such as ROS2 and openRMF. Software compatibility and performance are to be optimized in cross-functional collaboration with the AGV/AMR hardware team. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of mobile robotics software development, FMS architecture, data flow, and the ability to bridge both legacy and modern systems.
Your tasks
- Software Development for AGV/AMR: Program, test, and optimize software modules & packages for autonomous navigation and control systems.
- Framework Transition: Assist in transitioning the robot software framework to ROS2 (or similar) and the FMS to openRMF, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
- System Integration and Interface Management: Integrate software with hardware components and communication modules.
- Web Frameworks: Experience with frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI for Python.
- Continuous Integration: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for maintaining software quality and rapid updates.
- Optimization and Innovation: Continuously improve and adapt existing systems to enhance efficiency, performance, and user-friendliness.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong analytical skills for debugging and optimizing robotic systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in robotics software development or fleet management systems.
- Frameworks: Experience with ROS2, and ideally, familiarity with openRMF.
- Programming Languages: Proficient in C++ and Python for robotics applications.
- Database Management: Solid understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and managing data flow in real-time systems.
- Network Protocols: Familiar with network protocols like MQTT, WebSockets, and RESTful APIs for real-time data distribution in FMS.
